The app allows for single or multi-player play in good-old fashioned Wheel of Fortune action, but there’s a little more to the app. There’s a career mode, where your host, Pat Sajak, will take you on a trip through time, as you move through the different sets – and outfits – of the past three decades of the show. You can also create and customize your own avatar to use during play. There are themed packs of avatar outfits and accessories, as well as themed puzzles, available as in-app purchases. Local multiplayer is handled by passing the device from one person to another – pass and play.
Taking a spin with the Wheel of Fortune app will cost you $2.99. It’s available now on the iTunes App Store and the Amazon App Store. After January 13 of next year, the app will become available for all Android devices.
