Pixar’s newest animated film, Brave, hits theaters this Friday, and, Pixar being owned by Disney, you know what that means – tie-in storybook apps.
This time, we have two apps based on the movie. One is a storybook app, the likes of which we’ve become accustomed to seeing from Disney-owned movies, and will be directed at younger children. Brave: Storybook Deluxe will take kids through the events of Brave, and will feature art, voices, and animation from the movie. There are also interactive games featuring the heroine, Merida, and her trusty bow.
The Brave Interactive Comic is aimed at preteens, and is along the same lines as the previous app, only in a graphic novel style. Kids will still have access to art, voices, and animation from the movie, but will also be treated to sketches and step-by-step drawing lessons inspired by scenes and characters from the movie.
Brave: Storybook Deluxe is available now from the iTunes App Store for $6.99, while the Brave Interactive Comic is available now for $1.99. Both apps are available for all iOS devices.
