Oceanhouse Media has a couple of new releases, giving a couple of children’s favorites the app treatment. “The Berenstain Bears’ BIG Bedtime Book” and Dr. Seuss’ “Horton Hatches the Egg” should prove to be great bedtime fodder or backseat entertainment for the young ones.
Both apps have educational value, using picture association by sounding out and highlighting words when corresponding pictures are touched. They feature professional narration and custom background audio, as well. Original art from both books’ authors and illustrators are featured, and users can zoom in and pan over every page to check them out in detail. The Berenstain Bears Book actually packs six tales into one app as another bonus.
“Horton Hatches the Egg” is available on the iTunes App Store, Google Play, and the Amazon App Store for $1.99, while “The Berenstain Bears’ BIG Bedtime Book” is available on the iTunes App Store for $4.99.
