The holiday tradition of the Hess Toy Truck continues this year, with a tow truck bringing along a race car, both decked out with the Hess brand and the familiar white and green color scheme (note: if you have not spent any time on the East Coast, this will most likely not be familiar, at all).
The toy truck features 4-wheel independent suspension and ignition, horn, and back-up alert sounds. There’s also a hidden driving ramp that makes a hydraulics sound. The race car has a pullback motor, and features working lights and 4-speed engine sounds.
In addition to the toys, the Hess Racer Game will be hitting mobile devices, where players can drive the car or truck through three different courses – city, mountains, and interstate – and compete against their friends’ times using Facebook. Players can also unlock coins they can use to buy additional features for both vehicles. The app is out now for iOS devices, and will hit Android devices on December 2nd.
The toy truck and car can be purchased for about $27 at any Hess retail store (only found on the East Coast) while supplies last.
