Next week in New York, LEGO will celebrate the opening of its massive LEGO flagship store and we’re the first to get an exclusive preview of the store! It’s not just the opening celebration of the store that will be offering great activities for families and kids. The LEGO store will have activities for kids all year around. For starters, on the first tuesday of every month there will be a Mini Model Build where kids can come and learn how to build a mini model and then take it home for free. These models will not be for sale and each month they’ll have their own theme. The store will also be the home to LEGO Club meetings on select saturdays. LEGO climb members will get a t-shirt ad bag of LEGO bricks. The store will also offer Birthday Party programs, and they have a special area called the Master Builder Bar. This areas has computers set up where kids can learn how to build LEGO models, play games on LEGO.com, watch LEGO club videos, and design a custom model online which can later be mailed to them.

The LEGO Store is located at 520 Fifth Ave between 49th and 5th streets and will be opened from monday through saturday, 10AM to 8pm and Sunday 11am-7pm.
