As of late, EA has been especially supportive of gaming for young girls with their most recent titles. Their new Charm Girls Club for Wii and DS, and Littlest Pet Shop series games are particularly catered towards young girls. The company offered up a chance for tween girls to try out the games for themselves at the First National Tween Girl Summit held at the Historic Capital Hilton Hotel in Washington, DC on October 10th. The summit gave girls the opportunity to share their thoughts and opinions on the the environment, the economy, education, safety, self-image and more. 300 tween girls between the age of 9 and 14 got to talk with policy makers, experts, and celebrities about issues that matter to them. At the Summit, EA set up the Girl’s Gaming Lounge where kids could play Littlest Pet Shop Friends, Charm Girls Club and Littlest Pet Shop Online. EA also says that they continue to remain dedicated to coming out with games developed for girls that cater to their interests, habits and likes.
