The game takes the girls featured in the LEGO Friends playsets and brings them into an interactive world that girls can play around in with a good amount of freedom. They can pick out hairstyles, outfits, and accessories for the girls. Each girl can also get a pet that kids can accessorize, and the girls’ bedrooms can be decorated in any number of ways. Those pets play a big role in the game – they can learn new tricks and participate in pet shows, and girls will need to groom and take care of them.
As for the LEGO Friends themselves, girls can make the LEGO playsets come to life by going through daily activities that are found in a few of the playsets, like playing soccer, going to a dance rehearsal, or training in the karate dojo.
The game doesn’t exactly capture the LEGO ‘spirit,’ if you will, but for little fans of the LEGO Friends brick playsets, the game can be a fun way to interact with the characters in a new way. LEGO Friends is out now for the Nintendo DS and 3DS, for $20 and $30, respectively.
