Girls Can Build Their own Dream Dollhouses With Roominate

820926_589953471057454_127749207_oWhy miss out on half the fun? Roominate is trying to let girls everywhere know that there’s loads of fun to be had in just building dollhouses – or anything else, for that matter.

Roominate is a new building toy, with dozens of different kinds of pieces that can be combined in dozens of ways. Their website gives examples of dollhouses, bowling alleys, ice cream carts, and zoos, but of course the only limit is imagination. There are lots of discrete pieces to make little appliances like washing machines, but all of the pieces are very generalized. There are no instructions – it’s purely free play, although there are some specific playsets you can buy.

Roominate is trying to get to get girls interested in STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) studies, but that goes beyond just putting pieces together. There are also electrical engineer packs – kid-safe wires that kids can use to string up lights or power up fans or airplane propellers. Again, anything they can think of is fair game.

Several Roominate sets are available for purchase now from Roominate directly or from one of many toy retailers.
