Curious George Swings Onto the iPad in Curious George’s Town

mzl.btfidfia.320x480-75Open up your preschooler or Kindergarten student to the world of Curious George (and budgeting!) with Curious George’s Town, a new app from Houghton Mifflin Harcourt.

Curious George’s Town combines gameplay within the app with real-world responsibilities for kids. The app puts kids in the town of Curious George, led around by the Man in the Yellow Hat (complete with voice narration). Kids will then be able to buy things and customize the town however they see fit – provided they have the funds to do so. But, don’t worry – there are no in-app purchases or microtransactions here. All of the virtual money is earned by playing the app’s mini-games and activities, or by doing chores around the real-world house. Parents can get into the app and set custom rewards for any task they want, rewarding kids for cleaning their room or eating their vegetables.

A whole new generation can be introduced to the world of Curious George for $2.99. Curious George’s Town is available now on the iTunes App Store for the iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch.
