Kids will double as storytellers with the Scribble My VeggieTales Story app. The app takes all the VeggieTales characters and sees them through plenty of stories, each focusing on a specific life lesson. After that, kids are free to make their own stories, which is where things really get interesting.
The app provides kids with tools and an outline to make their own story, with balance being kept between offering structure and room for creativity. On top of that, each story features accompanying coloring books and stickers. The app comes with one free story – The Little House that Stood – with five other stories available as in-app purchases for $0.99 each. You can also opt to purchase all five stories for $2.99.
The app also contains its own system for educational development and digital mother-to-child communication. Parents can check out what their kids have been doing, and Mom-Comm and Kid-Comm allow parents and children to send messages back and forth to each other in a protected environment. Could be handy when work separates you and your kids. Finally, there’s the Coin-o-copia rewards system, where kids can earn coins to get other rewards.
Scribble My VeggieTales Story is available now for free on the iTunes App Store.
