Storybook apps and educational games for kids are aplenty for iOS. Wading through the app store can be a chore, and even if you know what you’re looking for, you might not like all the clutter that results from having so many different apps installed on your device.
Enter Ruckus, an app that houses al those kids’ apps in one place. Using the free app, you can access and purchase a number of kid-friendly app, stories, and games. These aren’t just your run-of-the-mill apps, either – high-profile apps from My Little Pony, Curious George, the Wiggles, and the Fairly Oddparents, among many other titles, can all be found within Ruckus. In addition to apps and games, some videos from certain kids’ television shows will also be available for viewing. All of that content can be viewed from within the app or downloaded for offline use, and the app automatically generates a weekly report to fill parents in on what content their kids are accessing, and how much time they’ve spent using the app.
It’s also completely kid-safe – currently, about 100 apps are available through Ruckus, and all have been vetted to make sure they are appropriate for younger children.
Ruckus is available now for free on the iTunes App Store. You can get it for the iPad, iPhone, or Pod Touch.
