Angry Birds Star Wars Has Already Been Adapted Into a Board Game

This must be some kind of a record. Angry Birds Star Wars, the newest game in the Angry Birds series, isn’t even available for another week. That hasn’t stopped Hasbro from readying a board game version based on the soon-to-be-released app.

It makes sense – Angry Birds and Star Wars are two sure things, so together you have to figure they’re going to be unstoppable. The Angry Birds Star Wars AT-AT Attack Battle Game brings the birds smack into the middle of the Battle of Hoth, where they’ll wage war against a pig-piloted Imperial walker.

Included in the set are 21 blocks that can be combined to build an AT-AT walker, along with 12 Angry Birds Star Wars figures. This being Star Wars, a slingshot launcher won’t do – instead, you’ll get a slingshot launcher done up like a dual-pronged lightsaber. Now that they’ve introduced the idea, it’s a shame we didn’t see dual-pronged lightsabers in the movies, too.

The game also comes with a code that can be used to unlock special content within the Angry Birds Star Wars app. The Angry Birds Star Wars AT-AT Attack Battle Game is selling now from Toys’R’Us for about $40.
