Griffin Helo TC Assault Ready for Takeoff

Joining the veritable air force of smartphone-operated remote control helicopters is the Griffin Helo TC Assault, ready to launch missiles at specified targets, i.e. younger siblings.

The Helo TC Assault comes with a Flight Deck module, which is basically an RC case for iPhones or Android phones that adds extra functionality and control over the helicopter. Combined with the free Helo TC Assault App, the Flight Deck-smartphone combination gives kids a full range of controls over their new attack chopper. In addition to flying the helicopter (which can be done via virtual joystick or via accelerometer by tilting the smartphone), up to six missiles can be launched, and up to three flight paths can be saved, which can be repeated later.

The Helo TC Assault is available now from Griffin for a shade under $60.
