china internet 300x180 China Closes Internet Cafes So Students Can Focus on College Entrance Exam So how do you help kids focus on their studies more and not the internet or computer games? Well you shut down the internet café’s of course. The national college entrance exams are this month and in order to help high school seniors stay focused, China’s central province of Jiangxi, has closed the Internet cafes. “During this critical period, our goal is to create an educational society for students that is free of distractions,” the official said. “Besides Internet cafes, there’s not much else in town the kids can waste time with.” During this time of year, millions of students will be taking a two day test that will determine if they can enter college. Those who succeed gain access to school and those who fail – join the Chinese workforce. You thought the SAT’s where a lot of pressure as a teenager!
