Kajeet Cell Phone Service Made for Kids
Take control of you pre-teens cell phone with Kajeet, a pay-as-you-go phone. Unlike other pay-as-you-go phones, this one allows you to keep track of calls, text messages, block numbers and block text messages that you don’t want your teen to receive, keep track of your teen with the built in GPS system, and it also has a time manager. There are No contracts, no activation fees, and no surprise bills. They also offer a nice selection of slim phones, flip phones, as well as the LG Rumor which sports a full QWERTY keypad. Kajeet is running on Nationwide coverage from Sprint PCS so you can expect quality calls and coverage in most areas. Phone plans range from $4.99 a month to $29.99 a month, and prices vary for additional features.

This actually looks like a fairly decent plan for someone looking for prepaid service. At $29.99 a month for 300 minutes it’s comparible to many base monthly plans. I noticed while being a nice feature, the GPS service is an extra $10 a month, but they do let you try it for free the first three months.
The new family plan is even better now. This plan is not listed on the website but you can call them for it. You can get a parent plan for $30 with 1,000 minutes and 100 texts then we put two kids on $14.99 plans with 60 minutes and unlimited texts. That’s $60 for 3 lines – with no additional taxes, line surcharges, etc. and you can eliminate any risk of expensive overages! Wow.
If you want this plan you just have to decline to choose a plan at the time of purchase. I think the option says “no thanks, this is a gift or I’m an existing customer…” select this instead of selecting a plan. Then tell Customer Care which plan you want on activation.
Plus, to save an additional 15% on your initial purchase of the phones, visit the discount landing page at http://www.kajeet.com/bargain and use promo code BARGAIN!
